What influences and priorities do people use when deciding how to spend their time?

With so many choices and options, a never-ending stream of input and distractions, and the advice of those who think they know what’s best for us, it can be quite a challenge to turn off the noise and take a deep breath.

But you must.

Sure, there’s lots of information out there that can be useful when determining what kind of work you want to do and the impact you can make on others’ lives.

The problem is our attention is drawn to those who profess to have achieved high levels of success and personal gain - because they’re skilled at making you believe it’s easy.

And the message is typically an undeniable proclamation that “you can do it, too!”

Maybe you can. Kudos - you have my respect.

Personally, I do my best not to put much faith in easy success stories.

Because deep down inside, I harbor a lingering fear of failure. Especially when it comes to writing.

Maybe you can relate.

The truth is fear is not only natural, it can be an incredible stimulus when utilized to encourage us to perform. When we’re feeling uncertain or afraid - and we do every day - those inner doubts and caution flags are usually a sign that something needs to be addressed and explored.

And there’s no better way than to open a blank page and write your brains out.

I realize the bright white glare can be daunting, even intimidating enough to convince you to step aside and watch TV.

But you can’t hide from yourself for very long. And pretty soon, that internal itch to speak your mind through words will need to be scratched.

Maybe I can offer something that will ease your mind and give you the kind of support that puts you - and keeps you - on your own writing journey.

Here’s a short video of Please God, Make Me a Writer. Sit back and find out if you have what it takes. Then buckle up and get to it!

Thanks for reading and watching,
